Firefighter Visit
Our students were so excited to welcome the firefighters from Plano Station 12 to Canyon Creek Day School! The children learned all about fire safety and how to Stop, Drop, and Roll. Students were treated to a hands-on demonstration of the gear and equipment the crew uses in a rescue situation. The children learned not to be scared when they see a firefighter dressed in their gear and that the firefighters are there to help. Thank you Plano Fire-Rescue!
First Week of School
It has been a wonderful first week of school! The children are just precious and are adjusting to their new classrooms and teachers so well. It is going to be a great year at Canyon Creek Day School!

Spirit Week
We had spectacular participation from our students during Spirit Week! On Monday we wore our favorite sports jerseys. Tuesday was Red, White, and Blue day. Wednesday we celebrated our bright future by wearing neon and sunglasses. Thursday we all wore our Canyon Creek Day School shirts, and Friday we wore our best cowboy duds for Texas Day. Thank you students and staff – you all looked amazing!
Lea Glewwe – The Heart of Canyon Creek Day School
It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of our former Director, Lea Glewwe. Mrs. Glewwe was with Canyon Creek Day School for 28 years; first as a teacher for 13 years, then 15 years as the Director. She retired in 2001 after dedicating her life to educating and loving young children.
Mrs. Glewwe was a mentor to me and so many others at Canyon Creek. She was truly gifted in working with the young child, always knowing the perfect thing to say in any situation and making sure each child that crossed her path felt loved and accepted. We will miss her dearly.
