" It is so rewarding to see how pleased the parents are with our program and how fond they are of our staff! Over the years, I have heard such wonderfully supportive comments such as, 'At Canyon Creek you do not need to request a certain teacher, because your know that they are all excellent', and 'I drive an hour to get to your school, but it is worth it.'
Canyon Creek Day School is on big family, with lots of parent involvement. Field Day and "Donuts with Dad' are real popular with the Fathers, and the 'Mother's Day Tea' and holiday parties are favorites with Mothers. The entire family loves the evening performances. Our Moms and Dads keep their video cameras busy. There is also the Halloween Parade, Miss Maria and her guitar singing Spanish songs, and body rhythmics. An evening Open House and three scheduled conferences per year keep us all in close touch.
It is a delight to observe a child taking his first book home, and then the excitement of the parents describing all the friends who listened to him read. There are so many 'Special Times' at Canyon Creek that are shared by parents, children and teachers."

The time saved in not having to find, hire and train new staff can be spent in planning new programs, updating curriculums and organizing fun activities for the children. Specialized Teachers
Our specialized staff enhances the quality of education offered at Canyon Creek Day School. These teachers bring their own expertise, adding variety and challenge to the daily schedule.
Computers - The children are introduced to the computer class in the spring of their 3 year old year. Our computer teacher, acts as a Tudor, keeping individual progress records, and selecting appropriate computer programs.
Music/Body Rhythmics - Our music teacher provides movement experiences to music that are natural and enjoyable to the child. This develops balance and coordination of all parts of the body. It has been found to be directly related to the child's academic progress.
Spanish - Our Spanish teacher exposes the children to the excitement of a new language through the use of the guitar, puppets and flannel board cutouts. They will learn nouns, phrases, numbers and many songs. Many songs that are leaned find their way into performances for parents and friends.
Science - Fun, excitement and the element of surprise come to the classroom with hands on experiences, and age appropriate experiments teaching about the world around us.
A Speech Therapist is available on a private basis for an additional charge.
